Top 5: April was a Strange Month
Two lessons from blogging every day
Hi there!
April is soon behind us. What a month it was, huh? Crazy. I hope you are holding up, and slowly adjusting to new realities.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for following and supporting my Medium journey. You’re awesome! I hope this is just the beginning of a prosperous and fun road for both of us.
This article is for you:
- If you want to check up on my writing, but dislike scrolling throgh a wall of links
- If you want to see what got the most attention this April
- If you want to discover new and exciting stuff
I’m sharing the five most popular stories from April. I’ve published 34 articles this month — finishing another spontaneous 30-day Medium challenge. I’ve shared at least one new story every 24h. Most of my stories are published in Better Marketing, The Startup and Age of Awareness.
The first story is also my favorite story of the month. I guess we shouldn’t favor one story over the other, but I loved writing this one.
The second story is about morning rituals. We all have one, and people love to read about them.
The third story is about money and business.
The fourth story is about having fun and blogging.
The fifth one is about Medium and Marketing. This is the story with most comments I’ve ever got — the story is self-perpetuating prophecy.
Two Writing Lessons from April
I’ve learned a lot this month, but the most striking lesson were:
- Take more time to pick a good cover photo. (Cover photos matter more than you think.)
- Format your posts to be more appealing to the eye. (I’m following the Flesch-Kincaid method now.)
The Takeaway
I’ve yet to strike a crazy viral post. Most of my earning are compounded over time. The most profitable story this month was not even published in April.
Publishing every day sparkled my journey. From the money perspective: one dollar turns into two and eventually into hundreads and thousands.
The people, the writing and this platform are the best of internet. Thank you guys and gals and everyone that feels different and special. You are awesome!
