I resonate with this post a lot. I’ve also written about the philosophy behind luck and winning the geographic, political and genetic roulette.

If you’re born in the right time, in the right place, with the right interests and had luck to find supportive partner and a business team, you’re set-up for success. But not even the best set-up will guarantee a billion dollars. Nothing will.

Wast-inheritance (the elephant in the room), is responsible for a lot of our economic issues. When you’re so comfortable from day one, you might never strive to change the world. Why would you? You already have everything. And all that money you inherited is stuck, sometimes for centuries.

I’m a bit all over the place with this response, and I realize it’s not closely connected to your post, but I’ve got to ask you a question. Do you think Billionaires should exist? And if they should, is it a good idea for their children and grandchildren to inherit that wealth?
