Hi Takarudana Mapendembe! I’m glad you agree. I’m not 100% sure about why the leading developer quit, but I’ll assume he got a better offer somewhere else. Maybe he fell out of love with the project as well. Perhaps it was a bit of both.
He was the lifeline for the startup. The rest of the founding team was mostly ‘business people,’ which is not suitable for business either. We needed more technical knowledge and skills. We did hire IT professionals and programmers eventually, but the idea just didn’t catch fire.
I’ve got carried with my work for National Geographic Learning, and the rest of the company tried to export robotics, start a podcast, open a media portal, and hire English teachers. We were all over the place, but the company is still working and operational.
